Where Can I Find My 2021 Matric Results in 2022 in the Free State?

Matric results Class of 2021: Free State 

There are four easy ways to access your matric results since they were released on 21 January 2022: 

  • Online 
  • Newspapers
  • Your Cell Phone 
  • Your School 

Online: 

The Department of Education:

The Department of Education has stated that you can view your results on their website. To do this, registration is compulsory. 

Register to view your results at:
https://www.education.gov.za/ResultsRegTest.aspx 

To register, you will need:

  • Your Exam Number
  • Your ID Number
  • Any other personal details that may be needed

You will be able to view your results once you have registered. 

The Department of Education can help if you have any questions. Contact the Department of Education for the Free State through their website, or call them on 051 404 8430/32 

News24:

News24 has stated that you can sign up on their website to view your results.

Newspapers:

Some newspapers that usually print Matric results may not have printed them this year due to confusion after the Department of Education stated that results would not be published on any public platforms. This decision was overturned by the Court on 18 January, meaning newspapers were able to publish the Matric results. The results were printed in most major newspapers on 21 January 2022. 

Your Cell Phone: 

There are two quick and easy ways to be able to view your results on your phone: 

  • SMS
  • USSD

SMS:

To be able to access your results via SMS:

  • SMS your ID number and Exam Number to 35658

Once you have done this, you will be registered to receive your results via SMS.

Note: Your Exam Number and ID Number will be checked. If either of these is incorrect, it will not work, and you will not be able to view your results. The SMS costs R3.00 (Free SMSes do not apply). 

USSD:

To be able to access your results via USSD:

  • Dial *120*35658# 
  • Follow the instructions 
  • Answer the questions and provide your ID number 
  • You will now be able to view your results

Note: Your Exam Number and ID Number will be checked. If either of these is incorrect, it will not work, and you will not be able to view your results. USSD is charged at R1,50 per minute. (Free minutes do not apply). 

Your School: 

Matric results are always made available for you to collect from your school. Contact your school’s administration to find out what day they will be available for you to collect.

How to check matric results online 

  • Step 1: Visit the Department of Basic Education website.
  • Step 2: Register using your details. (Please note you can only register for matric results until February 22nd the day before the marks are released). 
  • Step 3: Click on the link for 2020 NSC exam results. 
  • Step 4: Enter your examination number. 
  • Step 5: Your results will appear on the screen. 
  • Step 6: Click the download button and print. 

Online

If you are looking for matric results, online might just be your best bet. The Department of Education will have all government school results posted onto their website. All you will have to do to access these results will be to log into your profile using:

  • Your examination number
  • Your home language
  • Personal details like your name and surname 

As an IEB school student, you can do the same thing on the IEB website where all the IEB matric results will be released. 

You will also be able to access your results online on the News24 Website. 

Matric College will also be releasing the 2020 matric results as soon as they are released. For any educational updates, check out their website.

Your Phone

There are two ways that you can access your final matric results on your phone, namely: 

  • SMS
  • USSD

How to get your Matric Results via SMS 2021 Free State

  • Step 1: Open a new SMS message on your phone
  • Step 2: Fill in your ID Number AND Exam Number as the message
  • Step 3: Both numbers must have 13 digits to be accepted
  • Step 4: Send the SMS to this number: 35658
  • Step 5: Note that the SMS will cost R3,00 (Free SMS does not apply)
  • Step 6: Your exam number and ID number will be checked – if you send incorrect numbers it won’t work
  • Step 7: You will get your results once they are made available on 23 February 2021

USSD

USSD is another method that you can do if you want to get your results as soon as possible. Just follow these easy steps once the results have been released: 

  • Dial *120*35658# 
  • You will need to answer some questions. 
  • Enter your ID number. 
  • You will get your results.

Your School

Your school in the Free State will also have your results as soon as they are released. If you want, you can go straight to your school and find out your matric final results there. 

This will also be where you will be able to collect your completed matric certificate within a few months after the results.

The Newspaper

Finding your matric results in the newspaper is one of the most traditional ways of doing it. All you need to do is make sure that you have the correct paper.
