Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS)
The official policy statement for education in South African schools is called the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement. The curriculum for grades R through to 12 is outlined in the policy. For grades R through to 12, the policy also outlines the program and advancement standards. School-based Assessment
All students enrolled in the National Senior Certificate receive a mandatory School-based Assessment mark as part of their final promotion grade. Your final grade is calculated by adding the score from the school-based assessment. Following are SBA guides for history students and instructors:
