Matric Results 2018 Eastern Cape results will be released as part of the National Matric Results 2018. The results are expected to be announced by the Minister of Education on 3 January 2019 and on 4 January 2019 students will be able to get their results at their schools and exam centres.

On Friday (29 December 2017) the Umalusi council approved the results for the Matric Class of 2017. For the first time in many years, there were not leaked papers.

The Eastern Cape is happy with the matric results for 2017, the MEC of the eastern cape, Mandla Makupula says that this 5.7% improvement is worthy of celebration. He attributed this success to the stability in the education department. The eastern cape is also the second most improved province for the year 2017.
